Focus on fascial slings in movement
Come and create history with us!
A dissection course to reveal and create a series of Myofascial continuity structures of the legs and pelvis that were researched by Gary Carter. With expert guidance from Gary Carter, Jihan Adem and a member of the Plastinarium team, you will explore these Myofascial continuities that explain the efficiency of movement and spring loaded potential of the entire leg and the whole body system.
You will gain the skills to dissect with a fascial focus, learning techniques and tools used to match the highest standards in the world, set by the Plastinarium.
We will explore the topographical landscape of the fascia in this area of the body, along with the adjacent anatomy, which must be understood and respected as we follow our route.
The workshop will include a visit to the world famous and first ever Fascia focused Plastinated BodyWorlds model, FR:EIA, where you will learn about the process it took to create her.
Along with lectures, demonstrations and presentations at the Plastinarium exhibition, this will be an exciting, ground breaking educational experience in one of the best settings in the world.
24th -29th November, 2024
Focus on the TMJ function
and fascial structures connected to breathing
The temperomandibular joint is one of the most unusual and poorly understood joints in the human body - both intricately simple and simply intricate. We invite all those interested or affected by the anatony of this joint to explore new ground from a new fascial perspective of this essential joint of our existence.
We will encourage you to understand more of the anatomical beauty and function of this often overlooked and misunderstood region of our body.
Join us on a journey of discovery which will include both fascially guided dissection and discussion of the philosophy of how this joint impacts on all of our lives. We will discuss function and disfunction and the impact on posture, sleep, speech and breathing both in and outside of the lab.
We will deliver new material and original presentations to enlighten and educate from a dental, bodywork and movement perspective. If you have ever been curious about the wonders of this piece of anatomy - then one of the world's finest dissection venues welcomes you for several days of intense learning.
